CHARITY GALA PREMIERE presented by Sisters-in-Islam

 

The cast and writer/director attended the Charity Gala Premiere on January 4, 2007 at the Cathay Cineplexes, Cineleisure Damansara, presented by Sisters In Islam (SIS). The Patrons of the event were Y.B. Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage & Y.Bhg. Datin Seri Masnah Rais. The writer/director Nia Dinata, the cast, Jajang C. Noer, Shanty, Dominique, Ria Irawan, Lukman Sardi and Reuben Elishama as well as the Band SORE were in Kuala Lumpur to promote the film from January 3-6, 2007.

Synopsis for Berbagi Suami

This is a film about polygamy in modern Indonesia , the largest Moslem country in the world. It is a film about three women from three different social classes and ethnic backgrounds, conveying their passages in dealing with polygamy: sharing a husband’s love and attention with several other women. The film reveals their troubles and internal conflicts.
